Ways to Help
ABVI appreciates the continued generosity we receive from the communities we serve. While we are 80 percent self-funding due to our social-entrepreurial business model, we rely on your kind support to ensure we keep meeting the ever-increasing demands for our services. We strive to do as much as we can to provide the individuals we serve with support no matter their financial status.
Additionally, we are most grateful to those who volunteer their time to provide transportation, companionship, serve as sighted guides or assist with events. ABVI and the individuals we serve salute you and offer our sincerest thanks.
There are so many ways you can lend your support! Please donate or volunteer today.
SPECIAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN GOING ON NOW!
For 40 years, Shirley Preston helped empower others. She’s made a difference in the lives of so many by volunteering and donating to ABVI.
Now, Shirley has found a new way to empower the people ABVI serves. She is supporting our Empowerment Fund and giving friends like you a special incentive to do so, too.
Shirley has committed to contributing $100,000 – provided we raise a matching amount from our donors. So, for example, a donation of $100 instantly becomes $200!
Shirley has two areas of interest that she wants to make an impact on: children and transportation.
She knows the challenges children with vision loss face. She wants to help give them a good start.
Shirley volunteered to drive people who are blind to ABVI for their appointments. She knows how difficult it can be to get to places when you can't see to drive.
A gift to ABVI's Empowerment Fund will have a tremendous impact. It will support programs for children and improved transportation for individuals with vision loss. And, your gift will go twice as far because of Shirley Preston's generosity.
If you’d like to make a gift to the Empowerment Fund, please call Debra Calandrillo at (585) 697-5711.
